This weekend the fam and I along with the Aranas, Roni L, and Jacob B went to our nation's capitol to join the thousands of other voices at the Save Darfur Rally. We got there on Friday night and had dinner in Georgetown. Saturday morning I got up early to go for a run and see the sights. Check out my running pictures in the gallery.

For most all of the day Saturday the Colemans plus Jacob were at the Save Darfur headquarters helping with posters, signs, and then moving supplies over to the mall and in to the celeb tents or the stage. Olivia and mom went to Dupont's circle to flyer for the event. Some pics from helping out in the gallery.

Then we got ready and made out way to Jefferson Memorial for the havdallah service organized by the Reform Action Committee (RAC). I got to play guitar! It was awsome!

And then of course the day of the rally was Sunday where we volunteered before the rally. Mom and I were part of the 'Metro Team' and we were in charge of pointing people in the right direction and passing out flyers and stickers. We had a great time asking people where they were from and cheering them along. The rally was also awsome. We had staked out a spot up front. All the speakers were so moving and the backdrop of the capitol building was inspiring. I know that this rally and the great media attention we got will save lives. There are tons of pics in the gallery.

Then on Monday before leaving at noon we joined other Californians and went lobbying with staff members for both Diane Feinstein and Barbara Boxer. I was incredibly impressed by these 2 guys. They were extremely well informed about the bills being proposed in the senate, the situation in Darfur, and the way to talk to constituents. It was a really cool experience! DC was a lot of fun.
